Not good value for money in the slightest Positive: A lot of thought had gone into interior design, facilities were clean upon arrival Negative: I appreciate the team were obviously anxious to get this place ready in time for the Fleadh but I personally don’t feel like they were quite ready to open this hotel yet. Basic hotel standards completely missed: no hand soap or shampoo in the bathroom, no room refresh during the stay which meant we had to procure our own toilet roll once we’d run out, and only three towels provided for a three night stay - ruling out the possibility of a daily shower, which, in this humidity was more than needed. The hotel is misleading in its advertising, it’s more of a self catered studio apartment - we were even told we had to empty our own bins at the end of the stay as there were “large trash bins provided in the front garden” - only to find none there at all and a topless man in the middle of painting the railings. Housekeeping - despite not visiting our room at all - were exceptionally loud and rude first thing every morning, slamming doors ad nauseum to the point where we thought someone was trying to break in to the room next door. There was a paint tarp on the stairs that remained there for the entirety of our stay, “wet paint” signs up and down the entrance hall, and, as mentioned previously, a disgruntled topless gentleman carrying out a paint job constantly in the garden throughout our stay. For the amount we paid I expected a lot more and we feel quite cheated out of what I think - with time - has potential to be a much better experience.
